Jairam Ramesh conveyed the demand through a tweet, stating that the focus is on the horrifying developments in Manipur after May 3. The intention is to express collective pain, anguish, and the desire for reconciliation through a subsequent discussion.

The Congress general secretary criticized the Prime Minister for avoiding responsibility in such situations and urged him to rise to the occasion. The nation is watching and waiting for a response on the Manipur issue.

AAP MP Raghav Chadha stressed that the government and PM Modi have a responsibility to address the Manipur situation and restore peace in the country.

Congress MP Manish Tewari pointed out that there is a significant difference between the situation in Manipur and other parts of the country, emphasizing the need for a fair and impartial approach.

Meanwhile, the Manipur Police have arrested another individual in connection with a viral video showing the heinous act against two women in the state. So far, a total of six arrests have been made related to the incident that occurred on May 4, 2023.
