Amit Shah, the Home Minister, informs Lok Sabha that the government is prepared to engage in discussions.

During a session in Lok Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the government is ready to discuss the situation in Manipur on the House floor, as it is a sensitive issue that the country needs to know the truth about. However, Opposition MPs demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi provide a statement first. Despite pleas from the Speaker and the Home Minister, the Opposition members refused to allow the discussion to proceed, leading to the adjournment of the House for the day. Earlier, the government withdrew a bill and introduced three new bills. The Opposition continued to insist on a statement from the Prime Minister on the Manipur situation, leading to further adjournments throughout the day.
