The primary objective of this initiative is to showcase the richness of Indian diversity. As part of the redevelopment process, these stations will witness the introduction of state-of-the-art passenger amenities, along with the enhancement and replacement of existing facilities. Kazipet railway station, situated on the Secunderabad-Balharshah route, holds immense significance as a pivotal junction. This station caters to a substantial daily footfall of 24,269 passengers.

The planned improvements encompass various aspects, including the enhancement of aesthetics and amenities, with an estimated budget of Rs 24.45 crore. The station’s facade will receive an elegant overhaul, characterized by an elongated portico and improved lighting. Furthermore, the circulating area will be expanded, parking facilities upgraded, infrastructure made friendly for divyangjan (persons with disabilities), and the building will incorporate environmentally sustainable practices through the utilization of Green energy. These enhancements will contribute to the overall comfort, safety, and experience of the travelers.

To ensure better connectivity between platforms, a 12-meter wide foot-over bridge is set to be constructed. The existing restroom facilities will be revamped, and modern toilet blocks will be introduced to accommodate the needs of the growing passenger base, as stated by Railway officials.

Similarly, the amenities at Jangaon and Mahabubabad railway stations are also in line for improvement, with estimated budgets of Rs 24.50 crore and Rs 39.72 crore respectively. The Railway administration has laid out a comprehensive plan to execute these improvements within a span of two years.

The redevelopment of a total of 508 Amrit Bharat Stations, including Kazipet, Jangaon, and Mahabubabad Railway stations, is all set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The foundation stone for this ambitious project will be laid at 9 am on Sunday, August 6, and the event will be conducted through a Remote Video Link.
