Congress claims that BRS did not develop Warangal.

In Warangal, the President of the Hanumakonda District Congress Committee (DCC), Naini Rajender Reddy, expressed his dissatisfaction with the Warangal West MLA, D Vinay Bhaskar, for what he perceived as a lack of development in the constituency. Speaking during the Sankalp Yatra event on a Monday, Naini Rajender Reddy attributed the absence of progress in Hanumakonda to the inefficiency of the local BRS leaders. He pointed out that despite Warangal’s inclusion in initiatives like the Smart Cities Mission, Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY), and Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), the leaders from the BRS party had failed to bring about development in the city.

Naini Rajender Reddy further highlighted the dire condition of internal roads and drainage systems, stating that even a minor rainfall resulted in several colonies within Warangal city becoming waterlogged. He also criticized the unfulfilled promise of providing double bedroom houses to the poor, noting that houses constructed behind the Sridevi Mall remained unused, leaving uncertainty regarding their distribution to those in need.

Questioning the local MLA, Vinay Bhaskar’s performance, Naini Rajender Reddy mentioned that when Vinay Bhaskar was in the opposition, he had advocated for a junior college and bus station in Kazipet but had failed to realize these goals despite his party being in power for the past nine years. Naini Rajender Reddy alleged that the MLA and his supporters were more focused on land acquisition and settlements rather than addressing pressing developmental issues.

Ravindra Uttamrao Dalvi, who served as the Parliament in-charge for Warangal, criticized the BJP-led Central Government for the rising unemployment rate and incidents of crime against women. He also pointed out that the continuous increases in diesel and petrol prices had led to soaring prices of essential commodities, causing hardships for the common citizens. Dalvi emphasized that Chief Minister KCR, who had promised to develop Warangal along the lines of Washington, had failed to fulfill his commitment.

The event was attended by senior leaders, including E V Srinivas Rao, B Srinivas Rao, Kuchana Ravali, Thota Venkateshwarlu, Pothula Srman, Rahimunnisa Begum, and Vallapu Ramesh, among others.
