Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan” makes history, becoming the first Hindi film to enter the Rs 200 crore club within three days at the box office.

Shah Rukh Khan’s film “Jawan” is setting remarkable records in the Hindi film industry through its box office performance. On its opening day, the film achieved a historic collection of Rs 75 crore. Following this, on the second day, it added another Rs 53 crore to its earnings. The third day saw “Jawan,” directed by Atlee, making history yet again by earning Rs 74.50 crore at the domestic box office, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. This impressive performance has taken the film’s domestic nett collection to a total of Rs 202.73 crore.

Breaking down the third-day earnings, the film generated Rs 66 crore in Hindi, Rs 5 crore in Tamil, and Rs 3.5 crore in Telugu. “Jawan” exhibited an occupancy rate of 71.05% during evening shows, which further increased to 81.60% during night shows. While the film has managed to attract some audience in Tamil and Telugu states, the majority of its earnings are coming from Hindi-speaking regions.

According to Red Chillies Entertainment, the production house behind “Jawan,” the film grossed Rs 240.47 crore at the worldwide box office after just two days. They had previously reported that the film earned Rs 129.6 crore on its opening day worldwide.

“Jawan” has now become the top Hindi opener of the year, surpassing the previous record held by Shah Rukh Khan’s “Pathaan,” which earned Rs 57 crore on its opening day. “Jawan” has set a new record by entering the Rs 200 crore club in just three days, while “Pathaan” achieved this milestone in four days, and “Gadar 2” in five.

Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the screen after a hiatus since 2018’s “Zero” has been enthusiastically embraced by his fans. “Pathaan” marked his comeback, and the success of “Jawan” reaffirms the audience’s eagerness to see him on screen again.

In addition to Shah Rukh Khan, “Jawan” features an ensemble cast including Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and others.
