Boy missing for 8 months rescued by Warangal police.

In the city of Warangal, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) under the Warangal police Commissionerate recently conducted a successful rescue operation. The unit managed to locate and rescue a nine-year-old boy who had been missing for a harrowing eight months. The young boy had disappeared from his home in March, a decision influenced by his mother’s remarriage to an individual hailing from Andhra Pradesh.

The AHTU’s relentless efforts led them to find the boy begging in Vijayawada, following which they swiftly brought him back to Warangal. P Venkatram, the Inspector of AHTU, along with Constables S Bhagyalakshmi and Srinivas, facilitated the transfer of the boy to the care of his maternal grandmother. The entire handover process took place in the presence of ACP B Kishan on a recent Friday.

Recognizing the outstanding efforts of the AHTU team, Police Commissioner Ambar Kishore Jha expressed his commendation for their dedication and perseverance in successfully rescuing the young boy, ensuring his safe return to his family.
