During his 107th Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of digital payments and Unified Payment Interface (UPI) applications, urging citizens to rely on these modes for transactions. He highlighted the reduction in cash transactions during Diwali for the second consecutive year, attributing it to increased usage of UPI.

PM Modi stated, “Only use UPI payments,” encouraging people to make this digital shift. He called on citizens to pledge using UPI exclusively for one month and share their experiences with him. He commended India’s digital advancements for making such transitions accessible.

Acknowledging the recent festivals, PM Modi noted a business turnover of around ₹4 lakh crore, expressing satisfaction with the enthusiasm among people to buy products made in India. The prime minister also paid tribute to the martyrs of the 26/11 terror attacks at the beginning of the show, emphasizing India’s resilience in overcoming such challenges.
