The BJP government scrapped the ORAAR Metro project, redirecting attention towards exploring options like converting the existing bus stand into an airport terminal, according to Revanth Reddy. Furthermore, the current government has decided to expand the metro rail in Hyderabad, extending it to the Outer Ring Road. The Cabinet has approved the extension of the metro rail project from Outer Ring Road to cover a distance of 69 crore rupees. The project aims to construct 22 kilometers from Patancheru to Narsingi, 40 kilometers from Uppal to Peddamberpet, and connect various areas like Tukkuguda, Bengaluru, and Pocharam.

Revanth Reddy also revealed discussions about the expansion of the metro rail from Raidurgam to Shamshabad Airport. Green signals have been given for the metro rail from Raigad to Shamshabad Airport by the BTRS government. Chief Minister KCR has established a foundation stone for these projects, currently in the tendering phase.

Revanth Reddy’s recent decision to break ground on the ORAAR Metro expansion project underscores its significance. His proactive discussions with MEIL representatives and subsequent deliberations on the growth projects indicate a comprehensive approach to development. The Outer Ring Road extension for the metro rail, as per Revanth Reddy’s opinion, is unnecessary, primarily serving the interests of real estate businesses. He suggests cancelling the project and diverting resources to the old bus stand for an airport terminal, emphasizing its economic benefits.

Revanth Reddy is considering taking legal action against the pending JBS FALAKnama corridor to complete the metro rail from JBS Falaknama corridor to Shamshabad Airport through Pahadi Shareef. He envisions that completing construction in this manner would also cover the old bus stand. However, official confirmation regarding these plans is still pending.
